Description
Cowlitz County Fire District 6 is seeking to fill 2 full-time summer temporary Firefighter/EMT positions. Successful applicants will perform duties of a Firefighter/EMT in responding to emergencies in our 100 square mile response area that includes the City of Castle Rock, Fire District 6, and EMS responses within Fire District 3. Successful applicants will specialize in wildland firefighting and will be on call for State mobilization to wildfires. Typical daily duties will include apparatus checks and maintenance, station duties, odd jobs, fire inspections, special projects, and other duties as assigned. Fire District 6 operates out of a single station with a call volume of over 1200 calls annually, serving an area population of approximately 12,000.

Benefits & Schedule
Successful applicants will work a daily 8 hour schedule; though hours may vary. Applicants will be on call for wildfire mobilization. Mobilizations involve travel outside the local area at the expense of the fire district and are typically 14 days in duration. All equipment is provided at the expense of the district. Additional training may be required and will be at the expense of the district. Salary range is $12.50-14.00/Hour.
